Location:  Various locations across Louisiana (New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Alexandria, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Thibodaux, Hammond, Monroe, Bossier City)
Employment Type:  Per Diem (Emergency Staffing)
Hourly Rate:  $60.00/hr (negotiable based on contract)

Position Overview:

The Physician Assistant will deliver critical medical support during state-declared emergencies, providing care in dynamic settings such as  Medical Special Needs Shelters (MSNS), Points of Dispensing Sites (PODS), urgent care centers, and Temporary Medical Operation Staging Areas (TMOSA).

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduation from an accredited PA program.
• Licensure: Active, unencumbered PA license in any U.S. state.
• Experience: 1+ years in  Emergency Medicine, Primary Care, or related fields .
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in patient assessments, emergency treatments, medication/vaccine administration, and behavioral health support.
• Soft Skills: Adaptability, teamwork, and calm decision-making under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient screenings and medical assessments.
• Administer first aid, medications, and vaccinations.
• Collaborate with physicians and emergency response teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to crisis protocols.
